Details on the National Award Winning Works

“Introspection”  ( the black and  white photograph in the middle picture) . This work is about a boy  who is from a poor socio-economic background  in St. Mary taking the  time to  look into his own self-consciousness. The shard of glass is symbolic because it  not only represents his attempt to look at his own thoughts ,but we recognize that the broken glass reinforces the impoverished background he lives in.

“The Spice of Life “  ( photograph with woman and flag ) is about Mary , a herbal vendor from Kingston who is  proud to showcase her passion and faithfulness to her religion Rastafari.
